MBBS at BLDE University, Bijapur

B.L.D.E. University, a Deemed to be University, located at Smt. Bangaramma Sajjan Campus, Sholapur Road, Bijapur, Karnataka-586103, has invited applications for admission to the MBBS course at its constituent college, Shri B. M. Patil Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, Bijapur-586 103, for 2011-12.

The total intake is 150, inclusive of 120 General seats (with annual tuition fee of Rs. 3, 25,000/-), 23 reserved for NRI/Foreign/PIO/Others (Fee of USD $ 20,000) and 7 free seats to candidates of Bijapur district.

Applicant should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2011 and should have passed the qualifying examination which is 2nd PUC or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination, the last two years of study comprising Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject. The candidates must have passed these subjects individually. The minimum percentage of marks for Admission to Under Graduate Courses shall be 50% for candidates belonging to General Category, 45% for candidates with locomotory disability of lower limbs (as certified by competent issuing authority) and 40 percent for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward classes (as declared by the Government of Karnataka from time to time). Those who are appearing or have appeared for qualifying examination (PUC-II/ 10+2/HSC or equivalent) but whose results have not been declared can also appear for BLDEU–UGET-2011, provided they have appeared for above mentioned subjects at the said examination. Admission of such applicants will be subject to their fulfilling the relevant eligibility requirements.

Selection to the Programme will be based on the BLDE All India Under-Graduate Medical Entrance Test-2011 (BLDEU-UGET-2011) to be held from 10 am to 1 pm on May 29, 2011 (Sunday) at Bijapur, Hubli, Bangalore, New Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Indore, Ranchi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, and Trivandrum.

BLDEU-UGET-2011 will be a single test having a total of 180 questions with 60 questions each from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Candidates are required to mark their answers on an OMR sheet (Optical Mark Reader). Each correct answer will be awarded one mark. No Marks will be awarded for wrong answers or there is no negative marking. The syllabus of the test will be based on the syllabus of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) subjects of PUC I & II year prescribed by the Pre University Board of Karnataka. Before beginning to provide the data, applicant has to take a Demand Draft for Rs 1,500/-, in favour of The Registrar, BLDE University, Bijapur-586103, payable at Bijapur-586103, Karnataka State, towards fee. The details of DD also have to be given while providing data.

After providing the details asked and previewing the same, ‘Print this Form’ button has to be clicked, following which, a printout of the form will be generated which has to be taken on an A4 size paper. Facility for sticking the photograph, putting the thumb impression and signature and authentication will be available in the printout.

This printout, completed in all respects, along with relevant enclosures, should reach The Registrar, BLDE University, Smt. Bangaramma Sajjan Campus, Sholapur Road,Bijapur, Karnataka-586103, by Speed Post/Courier or submitted in person, latest by 18th May, 2011.
