K.V SAC, Vastrapur was established in August 1981 as a project school under the patronage of D.O.S for imparting education to the children.
To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education collaboration with other bodies like the central board of secondary education (CBSE) and the national council of educational research and training (NCERT), etc.
Kendriya Vidyalaya (SAC) made a beautiful beginning in the year 1980 under the guidance of Professor Yashpal, the 1st Chairman of the Vidyalaya.
Vidyalaya has a serene campus with well equipped Science Labs, Computer Lab, Primary resource centre and Audio - Visual Room well equipped with latest technology of OHP, LCD, VCD, Computers etc.
One of the main objectives of education over the years has been to empower the learners to sail in fresh water - to be innovative, creative, adventures & enterprising.
World class organization: An organization that is equipped with the state of the art educational technology, infrastructural facilities and more importantly preparedness on the part of teachers, students and other staff members to employ these in day-to-day functioning of the Vidyalaya.
Continually empowering teachers: In a knowledge society, up-gradation of knowledge and pedagogical skills are a must to remain relevant for the future students. KVS organizes several in-service courses, capacity building programmes for the teachers and other staff members.
Actualize inside out synergy: Every school activity leads to development of student- physical development and/or cognitive/intellectual development and/or emotional/spiritual development. The word inside synergy refers to perfect balance in these dimensions so that there is perfect harmony between head, hand and heart. Incorporating “out”- “inside out synergy” refers to balanced personality synergizing with external world and circumstances to create great works. The word “actualize” signifies that the seed for such inside out synergy is innate and not an external addition and our role is to ensure its manifestation. This is in line with the definition of education by Swami Vivekananda, “Education is manifestation of perfection already in man”.
Futuristic societal, national and global needs and aspirations: Such exalted individual would add tremendous value to life and fulfill needs and aspirations of the society, the nation and the world. “Individual needs” has been deliberately avoided not to emphasise on the “self”. An individual would really be contributing when he/she has risen above his personal “self”.
The school infrastructure includes well-designed Class Rooms, Sport Facilities, Library, Laboratories, Resource Room, Computer Lab and other required amenities.
The school library provides different reference material.Three laboratories and computer labs are well equipped to provide practical knowledge to supplement class teaching. The resource room is well equipped with different audio-visual equipments, which provides ample opportunities to the students to make use of the modern technologies in learning.
